The Scotia-Glenville Children’s Museum is offering the following topics for
staff development for educators and care-givers:
Cooperative Games - With a focus on challenge rather than competition,
participants grasp the concept of teamwork and cooperation and enjoy a
session of new and favorite activities that can be replicated in the learning
setting.
The Giving Basket – Looking to incorporate community service into your
teaching? Learn the benefits of community service, and available
opportunities. Learn a simple project your students can construct, a chenille
stem basket that holds well-wishes and kindness, meant to be given away to
someone in need of compassion.
What’s the Scoop? Science, social studies, and food. Learn about ice
cream, and work as a group with the hands-on experience of making it.
Team building is best learned when experienced hands-on.
Staff development workshops are one hour in length, and accommodate up
to 28 individuals per session. The fee is $120 per workshop plus travel fee.
To schedule a workshop, call 518/346-1764 or email
